Syracuse midfielder Emma Tyrrell was named the IWLCA Offensive Player of the Week after scoring a career-high nine points in SU’s 10-goal win over Yale in the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals. Against the Bulldogs, the graduate student tallied seven goals while assisting on two, leading the Orange to a 19-9 win.

In 2024, Tyrrell has led Syracuse’s offense as its highest goal-scorer and point-getter. Through 21 games, Tyrrell has scored 70 goals while totaling 91 points. In her five years with the program, she’s posted 197 goals and 75 assists. The midfielder has been a part of three Final Four runs in her five years.

Tyrrell’s honor makes her the fourth Syracuse player to win the award this season. Olivia Adamson and Hallie Simkins won the honor earlier in the season while draw specialist Kate Mashewske won Co-Defensive Player of the Week last week.

Boston College goalie Shea Dolce won this week’s Defensive Player of the Week award following a .500 save percentage in BC’s quarterfinals win over Michigan, setting up a Final Four battle between this week’s two winners.
