Tiana Mangakahia, Syracuse’s (6-0) sophomore point guard, earned Atlantic Coast Conference Co-Player of the Week honors after several stout performances — including a broken record — in the Paradise Jam, the conference announced Monday.

The accolade comes after a weekend when Mangakahia averaged 13.6 points and assists per game and led the Orange to a Reef Division Championship while nabbing tournament MVP honors in the Paradise Jam. Through six games, Mangakahia is averaging a double-double: 13.3 points per game and 11.8 assists. She has yet to finish a game without reaching double-digit assists.

In the Orange’s second game of the weekend against Wisconsin on Nov. 24, Mangakahia broke the program single-game assists record with 17.

Syracuse next plays Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Carrier Dome when it takes on Northwestern (5-2) in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

CORRECTION: In a previous version of this post, the Syracuse women’s basketball team’s record was misstated. The Orange is 6-0.
