Syracuse’s Justyn Knight and Freddie Crittenden took home individual titles at the 2017 ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships Saturday afternoon at Notre Dame.

Knight captured his second win of the weekend, taking first in the 3,000 meters with a time of 8:05.05. Fellow All-American Crittenden won the 60 meter hurdles for the second straight year with a time of 7.65 seconds.

The 3,000 meters win marked the second straight championship at the distance for Knight. It was the second back-to-back victory of the weekend for the junior, who won the 5,000 meters the day before, also his second consecutive championship in the event. The Vaughan, Ontario, product finished just under two seconds ahead of the second-place finisher.

Crittenden finished only 0.01 seconds behind his career best of 7.64, set during the 2016 NCAA Championships, when he took silver. The senior’s title comes nearly a month after winning the same event in the Villanova Open.

Winston Lee earned points for the Orange on Saturday, too. He placed fourth in the men’s 60-meter championship. The senior finished with a time of 6.75, just one-thousandth of a second behind the third-place finisher. Additional points for the men came from Iliass Aouani, who placed seventh in the 3,000 meters, four seconds behind his teammate Knight.

For the women, sophomore Kadejhia Sellers used a personal-best run of 52.97 seconds in the 400-meter dash to take a third-place finish for Syracuse. The time set a new school record for the Orange, breaking the previous record of 53.39 set by Sellers earlier this month. Syracuse nearly added points in the women’s mile, as senior Sydney Leiher finished just over three seconds out of eighth place.

With 47 points as a team on the men’s side, the Orange earned a fifth-place tie with Louisville on the weekend. The Syracuse women finished with 12 points, good for 14th.
