A Syracuse University student in the College of Arts and Sciences died Monday.

Emma Wozny, a junior psychology and neuroscience major, died at her family’s home in New Jersey, Chancellor Nancy Cantor said in an email to SU students, faculty and staff.

Wozny was a Verona, N.J., native who was a staff writer for The Daily Orange. In Fall 2012, she spent the semester studying abroad in Spain with the SU Madrid program, according to Cantor’s email.

Said Cantor in the email: “During this very difficult time, our hearts go out to Emma’s family, friends, colleagues and the faculty and staff who knew her.”
